Muslim Urdu names |
Most names in the
Muslim Urdu language are unique and come from the Arabic word. However, names
in the Muslim Urdu language are also very beautiful and inspiring. Islamic
names for boys and girls are different from names in English and other western
languages, because they follow a set of cultural and religious rules when
naming children.
Names in Urdu follow a
set of rules that govern naming. For example, Christian names are decided by a
secret ballot and you cannot see the list of names until the day of birth. The
Muslim Urdu names for boys and girls follow a different set of rules so you can
be sure that the parents will not let their names get on the news.
This way of naming is
also unique from names in other languages in that it has to follow certain customs
and traditions. A boy's name is called karma and is unique for every family in
the Muslim culture. However, some traditions include using names which are
unique for every family. The name may be given in stages and the name is unique
in some families, unique in other families, and just as unique in the last
family in which the name is used.
Therefore, all
families have to be on the lookout for a great age for naming. Most families
try to stick to the age of nine or ten when they have their first baby. Many
parents wait until their children are a year old before naming them because at
this point, their children are adults and can choose their own names.
However, there are
others who want their children to be a bit older before they get a name. Because
children need to be more independent in their early years, families try to
delay naming them until they are two. Therefore, they can decide what their
name will be before they even leave the nest.
Most parents prefer
the names which are handed down from one generation to another, not their own
religious names. Parents do not like to use Muslim
Urdu names for girls because the women in their family are always given
Muslim names. They also think that Christian names sound better than Muslim
ones.
In America, you can
find Muslims who are extremely against naming their children by Christian names
because it is quite offensive to white people. It is often the parents who
prefer their children to be Christian names that find themselves being faced
with Muslim Urdu names for their children. These parents find themselves being
forced to give their children Christian names, which is quite an insult.
People like these
cannot escape the fact that there are very few people in the world who will not
allow their family names to be a part of the family tree. Therefore, there is
no avoiding the fact that there will be Muslim Urdu names for boys and girls.
The only thing that these people can do is to try to avoid this completely and
choose a name which will be purely special to them. They can choose the name
which they feel is the most beautiful, but then they can never claim that their
family names are the most beautiful.
