The Truth About Urdu and English:

One of the biggest questions that I have with respect to Urdu is its relation to English. The fact that the two languages are spoken in many regions of the world, it is difficult to say that Urdu is nothing but an Englishized version of Urdu.

The truth is that when speaking of the English language, the general perception is that it is far more stylized and easy-to-read than the Urdu. Many languages like Hindi, Persian, Tamil, Kannada, Chinese, Malayalam, and so on, all serve as more expressive ways of communication.

In fact, one of the reasons why people are becoming more familiar with English is because of the speed at which it can be learned and used. It doesn't take long to understand and then to grasp the concepts that are important in writing. So, with this in mind, the Urdu and English language has been portrayed to be different.

But the reality is that the languages have a lot in common; it would be very difficult to say that English is more expressive than the meaning in Urdu. It is the fact that there are a lot of aspects that are common between the two that make it easier for us to learn.

Let's look at the basics of the English language; verbs, nouns, and adjectives are three things that are almost the same. Using the proper nouns is also something that is similar in both the languages. For example, the word "Zarra" can mean the sun or the "face" but both mean the same thing.

The meaning is different in each language but it can be said that one can say a lot more than the other. Now, let's talk about the other aspects that make the two different. For example, it has a definite article and verbs have definite inflections.

Other than these, the two languages are not that much different. The most noticeable difference would be the subject pronouns and the articles that are used in English.

I hope you have gained some information about the relation between Urdu and English, especially when it comes to the basic things that are used in each language. There are differences but they are not big enough to explain the existence of a different language.
